Each topic can be offered as a half day, full day, or weekend retreat. Dates still open for spring and summer 2013. Fee negotiable.
Dreamers and Visionaries from the Bible
Dreams and visions were a primary form of communication between God and believers in Biblical times. Might they still be today? Jacob, Mary, Ezekiel, and Peter are among the people who will inspire participants to embrace the mystery and power of the Holy Spirit.
Landscapes of Christian Faith
Join Dr. Maaga on a spiritual hike through the mountains, valleys, deserts, gardens, and watery places of the Bible in search of messages from God that will shape and transform your life. Questions addressed include: how to navigate sin and chaos; how to deal with desire; how to dance with grief and loss; how to integrate insights and epiphanies; and how to live in a bigger world.
Jesus, the Early Church, and the Woman Problem
Who were the women in Jesus’s life? What became of them after His death and resurrection? What were the reasons why women’s power was restricted in the early Church? This insightful retreat will address questions of women’s spirituality, sexuality, and power in Christianity then and now.
